Artlab Burien
We’re excited to share that the Burien Creative District is launching a brand‑new annual arts festival, ArtLab Burien, and we would love for you to be part of this first year.
ArtLab Burien August 29, 2026, 11 AM–6 PM SW 153rd Street (between Ambaum Blvd SW and SW 6th Ave) ArtLab Burien is designed to celebrate creativity in motion. We’re inviting artists and arts/culture/heritage organizations to not only display their work but also share their process through interactive or immersive experiences—live demos, hands‑on activities, creative walkthroughs, and more. We’ll also have a dedicated area for organizations to build their own interactive and informational space, helping the community connect with Burien’s cultural resources. We hope you’ll join us for this inaugural event.

LARGE WORKS
at the Merrill Gardens Merrill Gardens Windows Display
October 2026 through January 2027 In the nine street-level display windows of the Merrill Gardens Apartments Building on 4th Ave., between 150th St. and 151st St. in Burien, our members will show a wide variety of large two-dimensional and three-dimensional artworks. Submissions are open until August 15, 2026. Send photos with artist’s name, title, medium, and dimensions, to John Morreall at [email protected]. The windows are about 9 feet wide, 7 feet high, and 3 feet deep, so nothing smaller than 18” x 24” would look good.
