Standing rules - Adopted 10-29-2019

​Standing rules are operating guidelines not covered in the by-laws.
Standing rules may be amended at a regular meeting without previous notice

1. Meetings will be held as scheduled each month from September (the start of each operating year) through June. There are no regularly scheduled meetings in July and August. Meetings will be conducted using standard schedule as revised by the board.
2. Dues: Existing members’ annual dues of $40 are payable each September. Members' dues and fees received after October 10th will not be allowed to exhibit in the Cove Show. Members who have not paid by January 1 will be dropped from the member roster and newsletter distribution. New members joining after January 1 will pay a reduced rate of $20.
3. Commission on artwork sold at a club-sanctioned shows and venues shall be 10% payable to the club.
4. The demonstration honorarium will be paid at a rate authorized by the board.
5. A club member may be compensated for a club demonstration.
6. Artwork of the Month first place winner will hand in the designated place at the Burien Community Center. A member may only receive this honor once annually.
7. All club communications will be by e-mail.
8. The president or an officer of the club appointed by the president will be authorized to receive club mail.
9. Artist United shows with prizes will require an entry fee TBD.
