Linda lives in the magnificent Pacific Northwest, and is inspired by the endless variety and beauty of the region. She is best known for paintings that reflect the color, texture and drama of the Northwest.
Growing up the family vacations were spent exploring and camping along the West Coast. She was constantly delighted by the incredible beauty of the region's forests and beaches as well as awed by its wild life. From these early travels and memories came the need to share the natural bounty of this area with others.
Oils were the preferred medium and animals the most common subject. Later, having discovered the forgiving nature and luminescence of acrylics, that has became the preferred medium and the incredible scenery of the region the preferred subject matter.
As an artist and artisan there is always a desire to explore new techniques, new materials and new subject matter. In art just as in life, the challenge will be to embrace these new ideas and to look forward with anticipation to what wondrous new discoveries are around the next corner.
